Every year during Kurentovanje, Wednesday is reserved for the Day of Kurent and Korant Groups. At 6 PM, the Mestni Trg square will be filled by hundreds of horned and feathered Kurents/ Korants.
The Day of the Kurent and Korant Groups takes place under the honorary patronage of the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO.

Zaradi varne izvedbe javne prireditve Dan kurentovih in korantovih skupin, ki se bo odvijala v poznopopoldanskih urah 11. 2. 2026, bo veljala popolna zapora mestnih ulic od 16.30 do približno 19.30. Glede na to, da del zaposlenih dela do 17.00, bo ves čas za promet odprta smer stari most-Osojnikova cesta-Trstenjakova ulica-Raičeva ulica in nato smer Vičava Orešje ali Maistrova ulica-Grajena.
